The Rest

As with most conferences, this trip has mostly been spent inside hotels and a convention center. Two nights ago we had dinner at a Cajun seafood place and then I relived some memories of Bourbon Street, dancing the night away, much to the dismay of my neck - Whitesnake was made to head-bang to people. Luckily we were able to sleep in a little bit yesterday to rest up for another go around. Here are a few highlights from yesterday:

At the end of our conference day we were treated to a live concert of the Courtyard Hounds (two former members of the Dixie Chicks) and their CD from Target.
We had dinner at Rambla. Delicious tapas and amazing craft cocktails.
Cafe du Monde is a standard tourist trap, but the people watching and the beignets are hard to pass up!

  1. I'll definitely check out Rambla next time I'm there (which seems like every weekend or so!). But please don't say your leaving town without trying Stanley's! Their breakfast is sooo yummy and it's served all day (which after a night dancing is one of my favorite parts!) and their food is so yummy!

  2. I know it, sorry Nicole. We almost went on Monday but then we decided we should be responsible and get to work. Definitely next time and hope to see you then too! Congrats on finding out your baby's gender!
